The 22nd Annual Gulf of Mexico Deepwater Technical Symposium seeks to involve students in the oil and gas industry to better acquaint them with the opportunities within the industry and the challenges it faces. Moreover, the organizers of the symposium want to students to be included in our goals to share knowledge, best practices and new technologies.

A management panel discussion provides a forum the discussion of topics of interests to oil and service companies who operate in the deepwater environment of the Gulf of Mexico. The Department of Earth and Environmental Sciences of the University of New Orleans will be co-ordinating the logistics for the 2018 Deepwater Technical Symposium Student Poster Session.
